Activities This month’s highlight was “The First Annual Heart of Dixie Woodcarving Show & Sale” at Old Alabama Town. The blue ribbon winners were; Willie Thornton, Robert Kawzinski, Allen Carmichael, Nancy Crippen and Mack Landrum. Nancy Crippen took “Best of Show” Honors with her Old World Santa and Greg Price edged out a blue in the carving competition. The event was Co-sponsored by Old Alabama Town and The Old South Woodcarving Studio, who expressed a sincere thanks to all those PM Chippers who helped to make this year’s event a success. The Fall Beginner/Intermediate Classes will kick off on Tuesday September 13 th . Robert Kawzinski will lead the newcomers and Allen Carmichael will share his knowledge in whimsical houses carved in cottonwood bark with the intermediate carvers. Sign up at this months meeting!
