Arabesque Fall 2006 Collection: oh - so - chic!
Good things come to those who wait, and Arabesque Sheilas and Abayas new collection was
worth waiting for. Known for highly innovative and yet timelessly elegant designs, Arabesque
shows off the chic side of the French fashion this fall. For her new collection the designer
Judith Duriez played up her love of glamour with delicate silk, intricate embroidery and
sumptuous lace. Antique silver and gold tones - traditionally used for embellishments - are
blend together with unusual harmony or matched with this seasons somber palette of greys,
browns and maroons for a subtle yet a compelling result. Figure caressing beige, innocent
white and fresh amethyst colors, which look very expensive when combined with black, are a
strong statement of Arabesque Fall 2006 Collection.
Once again Judith Duriez proves that duality is the key stone of fashion by mixing old-school
elegance with the latest trends from Paris. Contemporary shapes noticed in her previous
collection offer yet another combination: linear embroideries sparkle with silver grey beads;
geometric patterns are interpreted in black lace and black and white chiffon. Textile prints
being one of the major themes on the catwalks this season, Arabesque follows the trend with
polka dots and animal prints that stamp the brand with a strong sense of identity.
As expected, strong and individualistic look rules the Young and Trendy Line with a
centerpiece lavishly trimmed with laser cut organza circles combined with sequins.
