Capturing life as it happens - Shooting,
Correcting, and Enhancing photographs with
your digital camera and Microsoft Digital
Image.
This 12 hour, highly interactive, hands-on
class is limited to eight students to facilitate
an atmosphere of personal instructor-to-
student attention.
Course topics include:
Basics:
Understanding how digital cameras work.
Uploading, editing, and storing digital
images on your computer.
Composition:
Creating a "great" picture. What are the "rules" you
should follow and when should you break them.
Enhancing the composition of your image using editing
software.
Combining images, text and other elements to create
art, flyers and brochures.
People Pictures:
Adopting a "journalistic" style that allows you to
capture stunning images of real-life.
Landscapes:
More than a snapshot, a piece of art youll proudly
hang on your wall.
Lenses:
Understanding "normal", "wide angle", "telephoto",
"zoom" and the impact of focal length and depth-of-
field on your photographs.
Motion and Action:
Showing movement in still photographs.
Special Effects Editing:
Taking an image from "nice" to "WOW!"
Advanced Topics:
We will also dive into the basics of conveying emotion,
envisioning the image and working to capture/
create that image, using photo manipulation, distortion,
color enhancement/elimination, cloning, object
isolation, multi-image composites, high dynamic
range image stacks, artistic filters, stitching together
panoramas, and adding text and text effects.
