Term 2-7th November 2005 - 16th Dec. 2005
Term 3-16th January 2006 - 24th February 2006
Term 4-6th March 2006 - 24th April 2006
Term 5-8th May 2006 - 13th June 2006
Professional music ensembles in
string, wind and brass visit schools
and present both live performances
and workshops in explaining the
history and workings of their
particular instruments.
6 week courses are available in
the Arts Centre or as part of the
Outreach Programme to schools
- conducted by Siobhan Murphy
(B.A. Hons Dance & Theatre
Studies).

ART
The Arts Centre run an in-house and outreach art block facilitated by Ann Wingfield (B.A. Fine
Arts). The in-house approach has been very successful as the schools enjoy the outings to the
Arts Centre, which are also teamed with dance and/or library visits. It is an opportunity for them
to be out of the school environment.
Having exhibitions in our Gallery in conjunction with the classes has also given the
children the opportunity to observe different types of art styles and forms to give them a
greater understanding and awareness of the visual arts that surround them.
