SUBTITLE:
Dare to paint four paintings in a weekend.
DESCRIPTION:
• During a two day course (6 hours per day), students will
produce four full size, multi-layered abstract paintings.
They will learn different techniques of layering and use only
pallet knifes.
• They will also learn about the creative thought process
behind making an abstract painting.
LEVELS:
• This workshop is geared to include all levels of students.
Beginners to advanced to professional; they can each
participate in the same class.
MATERIALS included :
• 4 Canvasses, 24"x24"
• Rheotech Set of 6 x 250ml, Jars Set (Phthalo Blue, Titanium
White, Burnt Umber, Bright Yellow, Black Carbon, and
Rubine Red.)
• Gloss Gel
• 1-1/2" pallet knive or scraper
• 2-1/2" pallet knive or scraper
SETUP
• The studio/room will be covered in plastic to minimize the
"damage" - There will be spilling!
COST
• Based on 10 students:
$200.00 per student

At the Workshop
Every student has their own work station. The
room is completely covered in plastic to
prevent paint on the walls and floor.
At the beginning of each segment, the
instructor will explain how certain
techniques should be applied. He will
demonstrate this.
At least four different techniques in four
three hour sessions will be captured.
Of course most of the time is spent on what the students like to do
most: PAINTING, expressing themselves on a piece of canvas.
