To insure the highest quality frame job, here are some tips on framing the canvas prints I
produce:
1. This canvas is a true canvas material with a coating. It must be stretched the same
way you would stretch canvas for a painting.
2. Select Stretcher Bars that are strong enough to support the canvas. 1-inch thick
is a good size for most of these prints. For many of these larger prints you should
use a cross bar .
3. Many find stretching easier using canvas pliers .

If you have not stretched canvas before I can get you documentation on how to do
this. Please em ail me at: Missouri@aol. com
Or, ask a painter to help you.
4. After stretching the canvas tight (to prevent sagging) I suggest spraying the entire
front of the canvas with Premier Art Print Shield . This should be done in two
light coatings in a very clean environment.
5. I prefer to have the printed area stop exactly at the edge of the frame. This allows
the white canvas to show on the edge of the frame. If the client prefers not to have
a white edge show the edge can be painted with a dark color or a thin piece of
wood can be applied to the surface.
The canvas I am printing on is called PremierArtâ„¢ Water Resistant Canvas for
Epson . It is made from a durable blend of 65% Polyester and 35% Cotton, this unique
heavyweight, quality canvas utilizes a tight weave that is ideal for photographic and fine
art reproductions. It offers a high resolution coating that is pliable enough to withstand
stretching without sagging, and displays a subtle texture for a true artistic look and feel.
The spray I suggest (and that the maker of the Canvas suggests) is called
PremierArt Print Shield
I strongly recommend that you use this exact spray. It has been tested with these prints
and it works. This is a lacquer based spray des ...
