Content Inside: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE “I Love Rock and Roll!” Rock Icons Joan Jett and REO Speedwagon Join Fair Concert Roster San Mateo- June 15, 2007- The San Mateo County Fair released today the remaining celebrity entertainers performing as part of The Examiner Concert Series during the 73 rd annual San Mateo County Fair, August 10-19, 2007. Appearing on the Comcast Stage will be classic rockers REO Speedwagon on Aug. 11; the Lucha Libre stars of World Power Wrestling on Aug. 12; southern country and blues with The Charlie Daniels Band on Aug. 14; classic hard rockers Night Ranger on Aug. 15; and female rock idol Joan Jett on Aug. 17. These new additions join previously released names Hawthorne Heights on Aug. 13; Discovery Kids group Hi-5 on Aug. 16; and Blue October on Aug. 18. ‘80s arena rock kings REO Speedwagon return to the San Mateo County Fair for another great performance featuring hits like “Take It on the Run”, “Keep on Loving You”, and “Can’t Fight This Feeling”. Performance date and time: Saturday, August 11 th at 7:30 p.m. The Lucha Libre stars of World Power Wrestling, starring Super Astro, Super Kendo, La Parka, and Blue Panther will dazzle the whole family with their entertaining, fast-paced wrestling experience! Performance date and time: Sunday, August 12 th at 7:30 p.m. Chavely Presents The Charlie Daniels Band, returning with their southern rock and country style loved by audiences. Daniels’ hits include “The South’s Gonna Do It” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”. Performance date and time: Tuesday, August 14 th at 7:30 p.m. ‘80s group Night Ranger will deliver their signature brand of hard rock with hits like “Sister Christian” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, sure to thrill fans garnered through the years.
