Recently Dr. Manning and Dr. Farley met with the New Orleans Academy of Houston or NOAH. It is named after the familiar story of Noahs Ark in which Noah saves the animals from a massive flood. It is a fitting title for a school created exclusively for children left homeless from the floods in New Orleans caused by hurricane Katrina. The meeting was set up to see what NMS could do to help this school as they work toward their goal to educate these special students. La Madeline restaurant of River Oaks provided free food for the event which was a nice time for everyone. The people of New Orleans expressed how at home they felt in Houston but that they are still looking forward to going home. Luckily they will get to head home in January. Palmer Memorial Church on Main Street is providing free space for the school. As the story goes Noah looked out and saw a dove carrying an olive branch to prove to Noah there was dry land and a hopeful future.
