One of its primary purposes is to motivate and facilitate communication on campus. The newspaper, however, does reserve the right to reject columns and letters to the editor that fail to observe the conven- tions of standard English and to edit columns for length and grammatical accuracy. Letters to the editor should be less than 275 words length. Letters which are printed will be printed exactly as written; they will be edited for grammar or accuracy. Students are getting more violations than ever this year—but is it too much? The university says issuing tickets to parking violators somehow helps. Instead it just makes things worse. One of another big concern is how ticket prices are getting higher every year. The penalty for parking in a wrong section is $25. In the past few years, both parking tickets and permits have increased by $10. Parking spaces are one of the other main problems we hear about on campus.
