Content Inside: DATE Friday 30th September Urban art versus graffiti Too road operator CityLink has joined forces with Yarra City Council’s Youth Arts Program to deliver a unique community art project. City of Yarra Mayor Kay Meadows praised the project, which fits in with the council’s wider strategy of managing graffiti. ‘This is a real example of a positive community project where businesses, local councils, and young people have come together to achieve something we all value,’ Cr Meadows said. ‘It has also been a great educational experience for the artists involved who had to work to a brief, design the mural, source the paint and work with project managers within large corporations,’ she said. A similar project was also completed in Moonee Ponds earlier this year ...
